This was a popular track back in the day. Personally, I thought it needed a quality soulful remix. It's a great tune but it could have been sooo much more! For me it was always track 1 but the B-Side mixes are worthy.

Paul Hardcastle made his recording debut on keyboards in 1981 on "Don't Depend On Me", a single by UK soul act Direct Drive. He left after their next release and formed First Light with vocalist Derek Green, whom he'd worked with on the Direct Drive sessions. While enjoying success with First Light, he was still engineering Direct Drives releases.

Helen Rodgers vocals are ably backed by the original band members, Mick Ward (Bass), Pete Quinton (Drums), Bob Williams (Guitar) and Bones (Congas).

YoYo Honey released one album back in 1992, the superb Voodoo Soul. Emanuelle 'Mani' Shoniwa is the main man behind the band featuring beautiful vocals from Anita Jarrett. The Deep Soul Mix is the best version here, mainly due to the fact that the BPM of the other mixes are too fast for the song making it sound rushed. If you are a DJ or you have DJ equipment, try the Jazz Mon mix and pitch it down to a more comfortable speed. Yeah, I like that. ;-)
